CHINESE SHAWO FRUIT RADISH -- last update 10/27/2019

Chinese Shawo Fruit Radish 10/27/2019 Have the front center bed full with Shawo. Also have one of mom's raised beds planted Shawo.

PAPAYA CIRCLE -- updated 11/02/2019

Banana Circle Permaculture Design Used excess patio soil to create a papaya circle, but have my doubts it will work. Think I went too small, think the soil is too clay, and am unable to dig three feet deep due to hardpan. Will give it a try, and if it fails I will re-evaluate. Somewhere around 5' x 5'. Compost pit is only 2' deep. Plan on keeping it filled to overflowing. Plant papaya seeds in early spring, along with velvet beans for nitrogen fixing. Possibly a smallish third crop if there's room. Must remember to protect seedlings from dogs who want to climb up there and shit. 11-2-2019
